Is there anyway to upgrade the software version on a BCM?

Yes, you can go, for example, from 3.6 to 4.0.

Ok how would I do this? Do I need to login into the nortel site to get this done?

Don't get offended but you need to call a vendor for this. Things can happen on an upgrade that will require someone that has experience on the BCM.

You need to buy the upgrade kit, unless you know someone that you can get it free. The upgrades from 2.5 to 3.6 were free, but from 3.6 and 3.7 to 4.0 will cost $$$.
