An email from by best/longest customer, any ideas?

The BCM went down today for about 5 minutes, I checked the error log and the first error was this: **ERROR** Received EMS_EVENT_CONNECTION_LOST from MSM;MPS service aborted
Then it explains how it is shutting down, and then all the services seem to restart.
Is this something we can fix, and is it likely to happen again?

Should have added: BCM 400 with expansion, rel 4.0, redundant HDD and power.

Hey Dewey,
What rls and type is the BCM?
How old is it?

Could be a number of things.
The MPS (Media Path Server) lost its connection to the MSM (Media Services Manager). This would have a real negative impact on IP sets and trunks.
Could be a software glitch or an MSC error.

It's a BCM400, that the customers son bought off the internet. By the keycodes I could tell it had been upgraded from 3.5, 3.6, 4.0. Is there a simple way to find out the MFG. date. I'm in Az, and the account is in SoCal. I have an employee who can go by, but the guy's son is pretty sharp.

There are no IP trunks and 1 IP set. But it's keycoded for 16 and 8, respectively.

Sorry Dewey ... got real busy for a while.
Did you resolve this one?
Only way I know to determine manufacture date is from the product label on the back of the BCM, if its still there.

I'll wait and hope it doesn't happen again.

Thanks SD.
