BCM Serial port?

Does anyone know if there is a serial port lurking inside a BCM 50?

There is an 8 pin header labelled J9 that is not unlike some serial port connectors on a PC motherboard.

If this is a serial port does anyone have the pinouts? It could be useful for troubleshooting bootup problems potentially.

the BCM50 does not have a serial port, what are you trying to do,,,
i do not believe J9 is a connection point, it maybe used when a router card is fitted,, thats a guess tho.
what sort of boot up problems are you having, what are the LED's doing ??

There is a serial port, but it's only for Avaya tech support as they use a dongle to connect onto the BCM 50.
