I'm using the built-in modem in the BCM which using a normal analog line. I did the setup and it works fine. But i need to configure the ISDN dial up for remote access which BCM already suppot it.
So did any one have the configuration steps for this ISDN dial-up.
I have done the same procedure in the above link, but still I'm not able to dial into BCM and access it remotely. When I run the BCM monitor it's showing that the line is altering and then it get disconnected and the remote user getting busy tone.
Please let me know if there is any another setting I have to do.
I'm assuming Windows XP, but Windows 2000 is similar, previous versions are a bit different.
Right click on My Network Places, click Properties. Select Make New Connection. Click Next. Select "Connect to the network at my workplace". Click Next. Select Dialup Connection, click Next. Enter a name, phone number, etc as prompted. Enter a description for the connection.
I will revert to Mr Marshall for the ISDN dialup portion of your question - not sure if you're in the UK or not and using BT Race or something like that. I'm assuming you are not in the US, as all we need to do is plug in an analog modem line to the BCM and run out the door...
You can install an ATA and assign a target line to it. Then plug it in to the modem card on the BCM if you have one fitted. You can not dial into the BCM using the ISDN RAS access from an analog line. You need to be dialing from an ISD terminal adapter on an ISDN line.It will not work otherwise.
I have tried thiss and I can connect but I cannot get passed a pop requiring password and domain. Is the password the same as the normal password? How do I know what domain?
