I've just upgraded a BCM 50 tha was manufacturered as a Release 2.0 system to release 5.0
The upgrade went very well. However as soon as I loaded the first patch:-
BCM050.R500.SU.System-001.200911
I started to get constant Router not present alarms - Alarm 11409.
Since this is a test system I did a Level 2 reset which reverted it back to a 2.0 system again, but with no config. I then upgraded again and re-patched. The same thing happened - constant 11409 alarms.
The readme for this patch says it is supposed to fix that problem with the base software, but it seems to introduce the problem for me. Teh Readme also says that this error happens if a config is restored from a system that had a router to one that doesn't. However starting from no config at all still shows the problem.
Has anyone else experienced this? I think this patch might be best avoided.
