We have a customer using BCM400 R4.0, SU patches applied, including the psm patch, but recent the "Out of memory" alarm comes up again. Once restart BCM, it is last for couple of weeks then this alarm shows.

Anyone has good tips for us? Thanks.

Thanks Dude, I have not applied that BCM.R400.202-SCD yet, but this patch has nothing to do with BCM out of memory issue. Maybe you meant another patch?

My apologies ...
You did clearly state "memory" not HDD space.

There have been known memory leaks in VM, especially when running Unified Messaging.
I can only suggest applying the latest VM, Core, and CTI patches.
If that doesn't correct the problem you'll have to raise a case with Nortel.

Thanks anyway Dude, per customer request I send a new memory module there, they want to try replacing memory first. If it doesn't work, I will appliy patches and see.

I don`t get it why would you replace the memory when there are known memory leaks in v4 software that are fixed with the latest service update ??

Wasting your time imo...

The reason Nortel wants the BCM's all patched up before creating a case with them is that sometimes the patches fix things that are not stated in the readme files.
