We are new to the BCM and are wondering about the quality of calls if two or more units are connected over a network. Or am I misunderstanding this application. We have been told that if we have a high speed data connection to both sites, we can connect the two and have access to each other without a T1. Is this possible?

You can connect BCMs using VoIP trunks.
Depending on the amount of calls you should think about implementing QoS on the network.
If so, this solution can make you happy :)

YES it's called VOIP. A data network is a T1. I have over 40 sites and all are connected Via data network, we have 4 VOIP trunk on each one and all calls are clear.

How did you set up your dialing plan? Are you using a gatekeeper?

We have been told that we could use just a regular high speed like dsl or fiber to connect multiple sites. The customer is tring to avoid the cost of the T1 if possible and still be able to dial directtly to an extention at another site.

emmitt2727 do you have an exisiting data network, is so use that to connect.

NARSBARS to our home office we just dial there ext and to our other site we use there location number & ext. if you want more info start a new topic and I will post info.
