Hi Everyone,

Ive had a BCM for a while now but havent really had time to play with it, i'm a little clueless of where to start to be honest. I was told that its very similar to the Norstar range apart from the layer two switch etc.

Does anyone have any PDF programming guides or tips. It would be grealty appreciated.

Hi again, thanks for the links. I read the connecting to Unified manager pages but it doesnt seem to want to let me in! I set up my lap top and had conection lights coming up on both ends of lan connection. I then tried to enter also and both repeated with port :6800 on the end but all i get is the good old 'page cannot be displayed'!
I then tried pinging those ip addresses in dos and it confirmed that it could see them.
Now clueless!! Any ideas?????

Make sure have setup a static IP address on your laptop that's in the same subnet as the BCM. For example, change the IP address on your laptop to 10.10.10.100 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. That should work for you. You can skip all the DNS and gateway information in your laptops network config.

Once you're into the BCM, change it's IP address to match the IP scheme of your company's network, and then you can access it from any of the computers in your office. Just make sure to change the IP address on your laptop as well if you want to keep using to access the BCM.

You could always try using a serial cable to hook up to it as well. Then once you're in via the serial cable, you can do the IP change I mentioned above and connect to it from any computer on your network. I believe the serial cable settings are 9600-8-N-1 and you can use either HyperTerminal or Procomm.

not sure but i believe you need a null modem
