BCM Power light on only

Hopefully someone has some idea -- I have an enterprise edge (BCM 3.6) that I only have the Power Light on. I have pulled all the cards and network cable and the system still wont come back up. I am thinking the Hard Drive but wanted to get more thoughts.

Do the phones work? Telephony is on the msc. May have a bad power supply.

Do the status lights flash rapidly for a few minutes after power cycling? If the HD were bad you would still get more than just a power light. I'm thinking more along the lines of the processor or RAM. Remove the memory and reseat it. You can also remove the faceplate and connect a monitor, keyboard, and mouse and watch it boot for a clue.

There is 1 -t7208 works and 7 IP phones not working.


The only light on is the power light -- the hard drive flashes then stops.


Does anyone have a clue how to get into a BCM that the people do not know the user or password (how can I reset it back to default - 4.0 system)

Can you ping the BCM 400 LAN1 or LAN2 IP address?. Refer to my guide below for a possible way to obtain the LAN1 IP address settings.

I have other guides located that may help, but it sounds to me that the Hard Disk has failed. I knew of a site that was running well, but the customer couldn't access it via Element Manager. It turned out that the Hard Disk had to be replaced and a previous backup was used to restore the database.

Can u get into telset programming?

Only way to reset pswd is by Nortel or replace HD.
