Hello everyone

I have a problem accessing a BCM 400 (3.6). The only password
known by the customer ( a new customer with an existing unit) will only grant access to certain portions of programming.

For example, when I try to access the BRU, to set up a backup or restore ( 'not authorized' ).

Is there a way to default or find out the password for ee_admin as entering the BCM programming with the only known password, will not allow me to see or change passwords. I was told that I have to call Nortel, but I am curious if there is way to find out the passwords so that I can have full access to all programming.

Thanks in advance

If the PW is lost there's no way to get into the system without re-imaging or calling nortel support to let them reset the PW using the maintOS.

Thank you for the quick response! That's what I thought.

Have you tried all the common passwords?
If this is an older unit that has been upgraded it may still be the original. Have you tried PlsChgMe! ?
