I have 75 or 80 BCMs in service, both 450s and 50s. One of my 450s is giving me what appears to be false reading from the temperature sensors and is causing graceful shut downs over several months. I'm also getting fan failures from the dual power supplies where they are not failed. The communications room is properly cooled and all fans are operating. I have replacement fans and power supplies, but this is not the problem. I believe it to be false readings from the temp sensors.

My question is: Has anyone had false sensor readings for temperature? and what is the solution to correct it.

Have you tried a reboot to clear out any garbage in the database?
