Dear all,

I have a problem on setting BCM 3.6 outbound call. Is that only max 12 digit of phone number will be sent out ? My client must need to make international phone call which phone number usually more than 12 digit. Please help to provide solution on this. Thanks a lot.

Hi. you could set up the dialing translations table in the BCM where the station enters X number of digits and the dialing translation table converts it to whatever you program it to send out. It has been a while since I did this, but it is explained in the BCM documentation under the documentation tab of the Unified Manager

Hi Jeffing

You should have no problems dialing international numbers unless they have been call barred or someone has not programed the system correctly.

I would check and see if other extensions have the same problem. If so then you need to log in to the system and check the public DN lengths.

You need to go to services------Telephony services------general settings------DN lengths------public DN lengths

You should see prefixes and if you select each prefix it will have a certain DN length.

In the UK we have things like

0= DN length of 11
9= DN length of 3
00= DN length of 17
1= DN length of 1

These have to be altered sometimes to accomadate new numbers we have 118 numbers for directory services. This means that we need a new entry of 118 and the DN length altered to 6 otherwise no one can dial 118 numbers.

In Nortern Ireland some local codes begin with 9 this then conflicts with the digit 9. We then need to remove the 9 and replace it with 999 and the dn length 3.Then enter the prefix 9 and the DN length of 8.

The public DN prefix governs how many digits should be dialed for each prefix this controls all of the digits leaving the system.

Hope this makes sense
