I have a BCm 1000 with 3.6 software. I removed a CTM 4 trunk card from the system and turned it back on. Now I cannot log into unified manager. I get BCM not ready, please try again later. It has been 1 hour, same thing.

Do i need to put the card back in there? It will need to come out permanently. What should I do to safely remove this card?

Just d a power off reboot. You shouldn't be inserting or removing cards with power to the system. That box and software have been MD'd for quite a while now. Might be time to look at an upgrade.

i took the card out with power off. this is my test system.

Did you do another power off reboot? Those old NT based systems can be picky.

It could be the hard drive too.

i will do a reboot

my real question is am I allowed to take that card out (with the power off of course) and power back the system and have it work just fine. of course i would not expect those co ports to work any longer.

i don't do too much bcm systems. this unit is turned off 99% of the time, i doubt its the hdd, its brand new. barely ever used.
