BCM Night Message

I have inherited a BCM50 for a customer who is a "good guy" so want to please him. I am more of an Avaya & Panasonic tech so be gentle with me. I have set services to manual on the night setting & ring group 003 with the PRI targets pointed at the group. In the ring group I have put the VM DN 1343 hopeing it will go to the GDM which is 1000. I have set up the GDM to X1202 reception & asked the customer to record their night greeting. When I tried this it rang for sometime & then the BCM answered asking "if you are using a touch dial phone press 9". So I set the ring group to X1201 and put a forward to its VM on that, but it will not let me do this saying the service is not available. They have never used the VM before so it may be a fault with it any ideas & the winner can share this rollover lottery ticket with me Nicholas Cage like.

open up mbox 1000 to see if any gtrg has been recorded also need to assign the gd mbox to the proper ext 1202.
