I am trying to network a BCM 400 4.0 to a BCM 50 2.0 and the customer wants to use 2000 series extentions on both systems. Is this possible?

Only if there is NO overlap. Eg. Site A Ext. 2000-2499 and site B ext. 2500-2999.

Anything that overlaps (including Hunt Group and Application DN's) will prevent one site from dialing that overlapped DN or range at the other site.

One site ends at 2349 and he wants the other site to start at 2350.

yes - you'll be able to

destination code on one switch = recd # on the other switch

if it is grouped 2400 and 2500 ...then the # of destination codes is 1 in each (for this) anything with 24 send it to the other system

if not longer (and more )destination codes
2400 local extension
2401 remote extension -> destination code

Just remember that even inactive DN's (application, Hunt Groups, ISDN, inactive sets, DID received digits) must be taken into consideration to ensure that there is no overlap.

With Centralized Voicemail on the remote side, can you use feature codes.(980,981,984,986,and such?

This is my first time to network 2 machines.Seems like it will chew up target lines quickly.

Feature codes will not work on the side without VM.

Yes, it will chew up target lines, so you need to plan accordingly.

Also if you use Centralized voice mail I think you need the MCDN codes other wise the AA will not reconize the remote extension as valid.
