I have a BCM 1000. I've been told the motherboard may need to be replaced. I've looked at the capacitors on the motherboard. I see two 1" tall capacitors that are brown (3300uF) and five 1/4" tall blue capacitors.

On rare occassions we get "Telephony Programming Not Available" so I'm not sure if we need to replace the motherboard.

If you don't have a PW810 system board then the capacitor issue doesn't apply. Look at the connectors on the front of the board - if you see all black connectors, it is suspect. If you see a yellow game port, purple parallel port, blue VGA port then you have a different vintage board that isn't affected by the capacitor issue.

If you did have the capacitor issue, the caps would be green and probably have blown up by this time.

What Ver are you running and have you added the latest patches?

version is 3.6, I have the system patched. the motherboard i believe is CA810

The BCM's that may have the problem are
NT7B10AACM
NT7B10AABT
NT7B10AACN
NT7B10AABU
NT7B10AACP
NT7B10AABV
NT7B10AACQ
NT7B10AABW

Clarify bulletin 2005006015 Ver 02
The free replacement Warranty is good till 12/30/06, So time is running out.

CA810 system boards don't have the capacitor issue. Only PW810 system boards.

thank you all, i see the yellow and purple ports on the motherboard. This system is old and originally was a 2.5 system.

so how can i tell if my patch is the latest? where do i need to look?

yes, I applied the patch, cumulative patch 3. Thanks!
