I had a friend attempt SIP trunking between a Cisco switch and a BCM, but this was way back in BCM 3.0.1 days and was unsuccessful. However these days, I was successful in setting up SIP trunking between a BCM50 and an SCS500/sipX PBX.
So to answer your question.. Just give it a try. Point some digits out your SIP trunks to the IP address of the IP office and see what happens. Monitor the ports using Wireshark to see the setup messaging...
