Im tring to set up hunt groups on a bcm.....i think.
Ive never used hunt groups before but this is what i want to accomplish.

Call comes in and are answered by AA. press one for billing dept I want this to ring 3 phone then bounce to operator if no answer. Ive tried hunt groups but failed. I have it running half assed now with answer dns.Call come in they press 1 for billing and it is pointed to a phantom dn with answer keys on sets.

You want to setup a broadcast hung group with the 3 phones as memebrs. Then set the ifbusy to "overflow" to your operator DN.

what if i also want the phones to fwd no answer to vm.( if someone chooses thier extension.)

Great thanks, also I use the f985 when leaving office to indicate to the operator will this also work.

f985 is the callpilot dn display command.

What are you trying to do when leaving the office?

your right. f984 is what we do. its a forward to vm and the reception see's the icon as fowarded(out of office). So according to marshall the call foward does not apply to hunt groups. I wanted to make sure that f984 dose not affect hunt group.

HG's will not fwd to VM, if set up correctly. Basically you cant have any of the lines that may dump into the HG also ring / appear and ring - on the phones that may fwd to VM.

Thanks i played with this today on our office system and it worked! I greatly appretiate it guys.
