The customer has 4 BCM's. 2 systems are at 4.0 the other 2 are at 3.7.
The problem is when they make voip calls between sites after 1 hour the calls drop. The can then redial the dn and reach the other person again. It makes no difference as to what systems are originating the calls and to where they are teminating. If you watch the calls in BCM monitor they drop at 59:59 exactly.

Is there a timer of some description in the BCM's that need to be changed. Have any of you experienced this problem before?

At first blush, it sounds like a Network issue. No, there is no Timer in the BCM to adjust this. Biv or pronei will know.

Adversity is Opportunity

I do not know of any timer, however that doesn't mean that one doesn't exist. My h323 users do not stay on the a network call for that long.

And I agree with Dewey, sounds more like a network issue.

I think the first thing I would try would be traffic sniff between the 2 h323 sites. I would begin sniffing both ends at the 59 minute mark and see what the packet analysis tells you.

How are the bcm's connected?

Are they on a private closed network with direct routing?

Or are they connected through firewall/ids/ips?

Layout the route from BCM A to BCM B.

ie: BCM A -- Cisco Router --- Private WAN --- Firewall --- Cisco Router -- BCM B.

In that example, your Firewall is going to be the most likely culprit. A network sniffer would tell you that. Next I would look at your pep levels on the BCMs and make sure are at correct patch levels.

I will do a sniffer test and talk to their network administrator and see what i can figure out. thank you for the help.
