BCM Expansion Unit nor seeing DSM32+

Have a BCM400 with the 1000E expansion. The main unit has a DTM and 3 x DSM32+, the expansion has a DSM32+.
The connecting cable is the Nortel proprietry one. All the lights on the 1000E are steady green.
When we connect an extension in, it flashes as it should but never comes back with a DN. Just carries on flashing.

The system is running 3.0 software and all the MBM's are running Double Density.

The only thing different on this system is when you log into Unified Manager. Normally, you would see a picture of a BCM400, but on this system it shows a BCM1000.

Has anyone any idea why my extensions will not come up on the DSM connected to the expansion unit?

DId you set the dip switches?

All dip switches set ok.

Status lights on the DSM32 are solid green.

First thing I checked.

Have you tested a phone at the system? Put a jack right on the port to bypass the cabling. Have you tested more than 1 jack?

If you disconnect the Exp Cab does the UM picture show a BCM 400 or does it still show a BCM 1000?

If you use the BCM monitor does it show a BCM 400/1000?
