BCM Domain Membership

Hi there, we have a BCM 200 3.6, it is currently not joined to our Domain, it shows member of workgroup "Workgroup".

Are there any benefits or drawbacks if we make it join the Domain?

I would personally leave it in the default "workgroup" unless TAPI/LAN CTE needs require otherwise. I can't think of any other reason than TAPI or LAN CTE that would benefit from the BCM being a domain member.

I remember trying LAN CTE some time ago unsuccessfully, perhaps it is due to the lack of membership.

Can LAN CTE still work in "Workgroup" mode ?

Yeah I have had lancte in working ing workgroup mode with no problems.Just make sure when you enter the details in the lan cte client domain user you put in the domain\username.
