I have a 3.6 and I am trying to set up DHCP. I recently installed my second lan card. I only know of the DHCP Server or DHCP Relay Agent setting under Services, DHCP. I have a PPPOE DSL line with two static ip addresses. What I want to do is this - give the bcm my public ip address and hook up a switch for my devices this way when I use my ip phone from a remote location, I won't have any issues going through a router. Can you help with setting this up? Currently my dsl is going through a router which is configured with my login information for the dsl provider.

Thanks,

Greg

You will need the following

An Ethernet Bridge
The PPPOE keycode for the BCM
Enable the PPPOE component

You can not assign a static IP address to the PPPOE dial up details it only allows you to receive a dynamic IP address. You might be able to set this parameter and your ISP always give you your static IP address.

You will need to enable the DHCP on the BCM

You will need to setup netlink manager to use the dialup PPPOE details you set up.

You will need to program the DNS servers into the BCM system

You will need to enable the NAT parameter on LAN 1.

You might want to enable the firewall.

You will have to set the published IP address to be LAN1 (Default)

That is pretty much it.

Good Luck

Marshall
