I have a customer in Idaho with a BCM 1000. Most of the details on their system are sketchy, but I do know this:
BCM 1000
top bay = Blank
mid bay = 32 DSI ??
bot bay = DTM (ISDN/PRI)
BCM Expansion Chassis
top left = ASM 8+ top right = Blank
mid left = ASM 8+ mid right = CTM 8 ??
bot left = Blank bot right = Blank

The issue they are having (initially) is that the system lost power, and after establishing power, the PRI would not come up. Tests were performed with C.O. to insure circuit was not faulty, so problem lies within BCM. I can't get a straight answer whether or not all programming was lost, but I do know that the IP address did not change, but some of the Prime Set on Lines changed back to 221. To end this lengthy post, I believe the DTM was Module 1 on Bus 2, but cannot confirm. Now Bus 2 shows as Bus Type: Station Mod., with no Modules. When customer changes to Bus Type: Trunk Mod, Module 1 shows up as PRI, but upon navigating away from that Bus, it resets back to Bus Type: Station Mod, with no Modules. What a bucket of ..... Any insight on this issue would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Was the module disabled before changing the type from station to trunk, and then re-enabled?

Thanks for the reply!
The customer could not disable the module. When he highlighted the module on the bus, Configuration was grayed out so he couldn't really do either.

I have confirmed that the system went entirely to default, except for the CallPilot. Is this because CP is a seperate "entity" within the system, much like the 3Com NBX 100 with the NBX Messaging?? Anyways, they have another system in Wyoming that they are going to go fetch, and replace this one with. I'm afraid if we make any programming changes to this current system, whenever it loses power again, it will just wipe it clean (again).

DID you check to see if the key codes were still entered?

NARSBARS,
No, I did not, thanks for the suggestion. I will contact the customer, if they still have their other BCM, and ask him. Thanks again!! :)

If the telephony programming was lost after a powerfailure this indicates a problem with the MSC card.
This card is very similar to a feature card on old Norstars.
It probably needs to be replaced doing so will make the old keycodes useless as the system ID will change.
If the BCM is not under warranty and it probably is not getting new keys will be difficult.
There is a small round object on the MSC card that looks like a capacitor replace this and you will probably be able to salvage this BCM and it's keycodes without replacing the MSC card.

Also it is likely that if you cannot change the module to PRI that you are configuring the wrong module #.
Verify this by checking the dip switches on the modules.
