Troubleshooting a BCM 3.6. Customer does not have passwords to LAN 1 or LAN 2. We have the correct IP Address for each LAN however the Configuration passwords needs reset so we can access programming.

I know what the default passwords are.
Someone has changed them and we can not access the system from either LAN. Do you know how we can default the entire system back to the original passwords?

Not without resetting the entire system and losing all the programming and keycodes.

Only way to reset the passwords is to reimage the hard drive.

How do I reimage the hard drive? Is it possible to save all the programming without config passwords?

If you have a ghost image of a new drive (or the BCM bit imaging tool CD's), it would just be a matter of reimaging the drive, reapplying keycodes/patches, then restore the voicemail programming. The telephony programming stays on the MSC card, so you won't need to worry about that.
