I have just installed a BCM 400 3.7. The Windows workstations are now getting a screen message upon bootup. Message goes away if the BCM is unplugged at the LAN port. The workstation message says "Windows System Error Duplicate Name Exists on Network". DHCP is off. Is it possible that the BCM Business Name is causing this? It is the same name as a server.

Yes, I believe so. I believe it broadcasts it's business name as a DNS value. Not 100% sure, but I know when you are doing BCM networking the name is transmitted.

The BCM is just like any other server on your network. Can cannot have two devices on the network with the same name.

Why would the BCM have the same name as another server? That seems strange to me.
