Replacing Octel mail with BCM and CallPilot.
AMIS messaging used to work between Octel vmails.

Networking CallPilot to Octel mail via AMIS.
Able to send AMIS messages but not receive.
Dialing translation properties and tables are built.
Is there any magic to allowing inbound AMIS delivery in BCM CallPilot 3.6?

For anyone interested in outcome...

Octel mail in this case only supports Octelnet.
Proprietary message networking protocol.
Oddly enough the Octel will receive AMIS messages via Octelnet but not send via AMIS.
Apparently AMIS on Octel also requires site address be dialed remotely and cannot be shortened to simple site access code when using AMIS.

Hi,

have you more Infos about:

"...Dialing translation properties and tables are built..."

I dont unterstand this at the Moment.

The BCM has 3digit Numbers, but I need 7digit VoiceMil Numbers vor Network Massaging. The Remote System has also 3digit Numbers for DID. How work the Accescode and Voicemailnumber....?

Now I think I can fix the Problem with the translation Table.
I hope on the right Way?

THX

Dialing translation tables are specific to the voicemail.
They will not help you with your voice messaging. They are used for reply features only.
You can however define site codes for voice messaging in AMIS or VPIM.
The Nortel manuals are quite informative regarding site based voicemail prefixes and dialing translation tables.
