I maintain numerous BCM's remotely and have one site in particular that CLID gets lost once the call transfers from the AA to an ext. For example, incoming call # 123-45-6789 goes to AA then when answered/transfered to Ext 123 the CLID display shows "Line 110". I am thinking there has to be a fix for this. Thanks for your help!!

If the lines are analog they have to ring into the AA at least 2 times for thr CLID to get passed. If a PRI it is right away. Make sure the extentions have for each set in telco CLID to Y.

lines are POTS. Yes,on exts CLID is set to Y. I have toggled between name, number, line in the past. Wierd part is that some will callers go through with CLID but for some reason when I call it is not passing my CLID. We have already verified from the LEC that my line is passing CLID all the way to the DeMarc just before the BCM. We tested by putting a POTS set w/CLID display onto the DeMarc before the BCM.

Have you tried to use the BCM Monitor to watch the call coming in??

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

no I haven't, how can I monitor icoming calls? Would that be under the Configuration menu?

No it's the BCM Monitor program you can download from the BCM and install on your PC. when you activate it you can see the calls incoming and outgoung.

You didn't answer cook, is your AA picking up after the 2nd ring?

i will check but regardless if it is set to 2 or not, some are going thru with CLID others are not.

That's how analog CLID works. Sometimes the info gets through b4 the 2nd ring, but if you set the AA to 2 rings, you'll always get it.

ok, i can change it. then they will be complaining that the phones are ringing before going to AA :)

Well you make sure that no DNs ring, so it doesn't bother anyone onsite, and yes, the callers will have to wait 2 rings to get answered, no biggie.

Do you have all the trunks programed on the phones?

If so WHY?
