BCM call routing

Is there an option for allowing call routing during the menu option? When people are listening to the menu option (2nd level) if they hear a extention they like, when they press that extention it starts playing the menu from the begining again.

Can this be set thru the phone (F983)? Currently they list all extentions and you must wait until the end to make a selection. I could set each one as a transfer since the are exactly 8. I can't get the BCM connected thru the element manager.

Depends which BCM and release you have.

Do F983 and see if you can log in.

You should get a tech onsite to see how it is setup and then have it changed.

When the AA picks up you should be able to dial straight through to the parties exts. right away. Do you currently have a CCR menu set up? Yes you can do all this programming via telset f 983.

I can log in with a phone. Eveything seems to work fine until we get to option three, I have this set up as a menu. When they press #1 they are sent to an information option that reads all extentions if they try to enter the extention before the ned of the message they hear the list again.

Instead of information you need to set it as menu with xfer paths as int to the exts. So path 3 will be menu not info, you will record you message stating the companies exts and path 31 will be the first xfer point followed by path 32 being the second xfer point and so on. You said when they press 1 they are sent to an info option, this is where your going the wrong way, you need to have xfer paths come into play at this point like I previously stated.

Info = information only
Menu - choices to choose from

Also if you press 3 and just list peoples ext numbers instead of further paths then create path 38 and have it transfer to reception, this will complete path 3 as a menu or you will get "Incomplete Tree"

i.e when you create a menu path you must program at least one more path within that menu.

Thanks for the help guys. You are exactly right, information path does not allow you to barge in, thus information only. Since they may at some point have more than 8 extentions I will just create path 3,1 but all extentions will be listed in path 3.
