BCM bak_bcm450 file voice message files recovery

Hi,

I have a BCM 450 ver 6

I take backup of all system every night. With a schedule backup to a Windows file server. I can uncompress it with winrar.

The voice messages are in the vdata00\voicecti\filepool folder. Their extensions are a number. Am I right with that?

How can I play them with windows? what is the codec? Is there a Nortel tool to recover and listen them.

One of our staff member delete an important message that is in the backup.

I must recover it.

You can do a restore of just the voice mail, however be sure everyone listens to their current messages prior to the the restore or they will be lost.

Better yet. You can do a current backup. restore and old backup that contains the message. Listen to the important message and then restore the latest backup.

How can I restore only one mailbox messages?
In administration tab, I have backup and restore, then restore. I need to specify the file and I have Restore... button. If I use it, will I have option to restore only one mailbox messages?

If you know someone who has a test BCM 450, then they can do a restore using your backup copy and obtain the voicemail message for you. Another useful function that can be done is to have any voicemail messages be sent via email as a *.wav so that they can be listened and I do this when people call me whilst I'm out of the office.
