BCM backup to USB

Has anyone had problems backing up to usb. when Ive backed up to the usb as a schedule the programming should be over writen but this dose not happed,it makes a new file. The file name etc is all the same with no changes the docs say that it should over write the old one but this dose not happen? any ideas

But can't remember.

Are you current on patches?

yes the bcm 50b is up to date with all patches
