Hi all,

We're a Windows XP, Server 2003, Office 2003 type of shop.

I was wondering what type of capabilities there are available to integrate my user's PCs with their phones. I'd love for them to be able to click on phone numbers in signatures and have their phones dial, the same for an internal employee number directory.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like u want personal call mgr. U'll need the lan cte keycode and a 3rd party s/w such as RSI to integrate w/.

We have a lan cte keycode installed already and are using it for Call Parrot recording. Can multiple applications/computers connect to lan cte or do we need multiple lan cte keycode/licenses?

You will need one lan cte keycode per application/BCM integration. The BCM can integrate with the PC Console application provided by Convertec:

ConverTec Inc. - PC-based Attendant Console

Through the integration of an attendant’s Business Communications Manager (BCM) or Norstar telephone to the desktop PC as well as the provision of a user-friendly, unified interface, ConverTec’s browser-based console solution,Console.NET, provides the capabilities necessary to enable attendants to efficiently answer and direct calls in an informed and professional manner.

Console.NET complements BCM’s networking capabilities with its offer of a single answering position for multi-site or campus environments, with telephones at remote locations receiving the same treatment as those located locally.

Console.NET’s innovative capabilities include such features as: text messaging to telephones, presence information which can be updated by an attendant or any telephone user, call waiting which facilitates interactive call control, and an XML interface for custom screen pops. Business Centers will appreciate Console.NET’s ”Call Preview” feature which prompts the attendant on how to answer each call.

Built-in reports, along with an option to upgrade to a fully featured call reporting solution with over 35 customizable reports that can be scheduled and emailed, round out this leading-edge application.

Console.NET - a premier solution for today’s BCM & Norstar attendants!

Excellent, thanks for the good information.
