What is the max channels that I can have for ACD on an BCM 3.7?

32 maximum. Here's a blurb from the 3.7 docs (pg 615 of the Programming Ops guide):

Voice Mail and ACD
4 What is the maximum number of Voicemail ports required? Voicemail ports are used for
voicemail and call center.
The range is 0 to 32 ports.
For each voicemail port:
• add 1 to the signaling channel count
• add 1 to the media channel count
5 What is the number of Voicemail ports required during peak periods?
The range is 0 to the maximum number of ports selected in question 4.
For each voicemail port
• add 1 to the voice bus path count
• add 1 to the DSP resource unit count
6 How many fax tasks will be used during peak periods?
The range is 0 to 2.
For each fax task:
• add 6 to the DSP resource unit count
Note: The maximum number of voice ports shared between voice mail and IVR is 32.
The maximum number of fax ports shared between voice mail, IVR and T.38 IP fax
is 8.
Note: The fax DSP resource unit count is rounded to ease calculations. For a more
accurate DSP resource unit count, refer to the table in “DSP resources rules” on page
613.

Thanks, I saw that but I was told that just for ACD/Voicemail there is only 16. If you want 32 you have to add IVR.
Question 1: Is this true.
Question 2: If I add IVR can I use the additional 16 channels for Call Center or are they only used for IVR?

I was under the same impression, that you can have a maximum of 32 ports, 24 of which can be IVR. The documents seem to contradict that.

I've never gone higher than 14 ports active. Tried activating all 16 once and the system went berzerk on me. I've been gun shy since.

I understand, thanks for the info if I find out anything I'll let you know. man the IVR codes are not cheap so I don't want to get them if I can not use the ports for Call Center.

Hawks,
For sure thats the way it was in the NAM
... not so sure about the BCM
