I have recently installed a Nortel/Avaya BCM 50 running Ver. 6.0.
I have it licensed for 8 digital phones, two analog phones, 4 analog trunks, 8 VMB's and 2 IP clients. There are 3 T7316E phones and 1 T7100 working currently without any issues. The first 2007 Ip phone I added worked just fine and registered right away. the second 2007 phone was trying to update the firmware and would download it and reboot without installing the firmware and cycle through the same routine. I tried two seperate 2007 phones with the same result. Then I purchased anothe 2007 with the latest firmware and now it displays NO PORTS LEFT even though I still show one license available.

When I go to application resources it shows 2 IP sets licenses, and under telephony resources I show 1 IP sets active on bus 1 and 12 applications active on bus 1. Are the applications conflicting with the IP phones?

I could really use any suggestions.

On the BCM when an IP phone registers it saves the MAC of the phone and uses a license unless you deregister the phone from the system. Not a first come first serve unfortunately. I'm not 100% up to speed on R6, but it may be either under Resources>IP Sets or if you assigned it a DN look up that DN and the deregister button will appear under that area.

There is a tab called IP terminal details under one or both of those areas, that should be where the deregister button is.
