Hey Tek-tips,

I have been told by my boss(30+ year nortel tech) that upgrading from BCM50e r1.0 to r6.0 is a lengthy and problematic process. I guess the last two times we tried it the hard drive got corrupted some how and we had to buy a new HDD and start from scratch.

Is this a common problem... Everyone at my office is telling me it's not worth the risk and that I should propose a new system.

Thoughts?

First off this is a Norstar forum, different beast!.

BCM forum is here for future:

1.0 is old now, this means so are the hard drives....they were probably already corrupted.
