BCM 50E Expansion Port Configuration?

I have BCM 50E With 2 Expansions Ports Enabled and working fine. I have 2 GATM 4 MBM's that also work fine in said ports. I would like to change 1 GATM 4 for a CTM 8 removed from BCM 400. I have flipped dip switch so unit is enabled in BCM 50E. Now expansion port 1 shows 1.1 and 1.2 enabled for CTM 8 and Exp 2 with GATM 4 no longer enables? Is this because the CTM 8 is split and reserves both ports? I really need help or just confirmation that my logic is within reason.

Dont think the CTM8 is compatible on the BCM 50. Pretty sure it was MFD before the 50 was released.

Try GATM 8 to see if CTCNY is right.

As per the doc, CTM8 is supported.Did you make sure all your dipswitches were set to "on"?
You could try to put your GATM4 in the first expansion instead and see if your CTM8 in the second expansion port comes on.
What version is your bcm?

gberger: BCM 50 R1, all dipswitches are set to on. BCM50 says CTM8 enabled but splits port 1 to 1.1 enabled and 1.2 enabled like the one card uses both exp. ports.

Dasheen: I don't have access to GATM 8 so I can't check that.

I`m not sure CTM8 is supported on a V1 bcm i cannot find any reference to a CTM MBM in the v1 docs I know its supported on version 3 and it is referenced in the version 2 docs hope this helps

It's normal that it shows split because it is seen as 2 ctm4.Have you tried putting the ctm4 in port 1 and gatm4 in port 2?
I was looking in bcm50 2.0 and 3.0 for compatibility.What version is your bcm50?

BCM50 v1.0 I will swap MBM's making GATM 4 first and CTM8 2nd position.
