This is the problem: When you call into the system, after 4 rings the AA picks up. No matter which extension you choose, every single one of them, you hear the normal "One moment please" and immediately after you hear the error prompt: "You have entered an invalid extension". Then of course it goes back to the grtg table and then you enter the same digits, and it works, every time. So never works on the first try, always works on the second. From any phone on prem or off this is the symptom.
Also, the customer re-recorded the AA grtg and the grtg table a few days ago. He was doing it correctly, accepting the grtgs and they would play back correctly while in sys admin. But when you call in to test, it would only play the same recording twice. Instead of the grtg and then the table, it would just play the table grtg twice and ignore the grtg. Every time. What I actually did was just go in to the grtg #1 and press RECORD and then OK, ACCEPT so there was just a brief second of silence before the grtg table recording played. So wierd. I have worked on the Flash for decades and quiet a few Call Pilots and have not seen this problem.
Any ideas?

Check the touchTone gate and see if it has been activated.
This would expect you to press a digit to get to the next stage?

It can also use a customised greeting which may have been recorded and playing first.

I was faulting a call pilot the customer could not change his welcome greeting.
That's when I found the touch tone gate was on and playing this greeting instead

Where the heck is the touchtone gate?? never heard of it.

Sorry for not getting back sooner .

Go to auto attendant
Go to general settings
Touch tone gate is there.
Should be un ticked.
If not then unticked it to disable it.
