Hello everybody i'm losing my hair over this ned HELPPPPPP


My Customer has 3 BCM50’s

SYSTEM 1 - Was a BCM50 R2 and was upgraded to R6 on 12/19/11. From that time to present we have not been able to Enable Lines 73 – 76 in expansion 1 or Lines 103 – 106 in expansion 2. State is “Enabling”. These did work and were active when R2. We have done all the usual Troubleshooting



SYSTEM 2 – a BCM50 R6 that was installed and copied from the system above – same issue



Both of these show Alarm 37

Alarm 37 is "Failure to download market profile or protocol data from PDR'. I assume that your trunks require a market specific configuration - the failure to retrieve the market profile and/or market specific data is likely the reason why the trunks are not working.

Changing the market profile used on the system to something else and then back to the one you want might help - but beware, you will lose all system configuration data when doing that. Alternatively, you can perform Level 2 reset of the system.

I wonder if the root cause of your problem wasn't an attempt to restore a backup from the release 2 system to the release 6 image (you cannot use a backup from R2 on an R6 system). If you did that, my recommendation would be the L2 reset.

How do you mean copied?

Did you do any hardware or programming changes?
Patch cords in the right ports on cabinets for expansions?
