My company is planning in implementing the BMC system. We are currently using VPN router to connect all branch offices in different regions, i.e. we can access each branch by internal IP. If only one BCM 50 is implemented in one site, can it eliminate the site-to-site toll cost? Or each branch office needs to impletmentthe BCM system as well? Thanks.

Any idea if BCM 50 is scalable to accommodate over 50 IP Phone in that case?
Is there any place I can find resources on how to integrate BCM 50 on company network?
Also, our current network use VPN router which support VoIP feature, so is it BCM 50 (not 50a or 50e) is sufficient to implement the VoIP feature in the current network?
Thanks.

The BCM50 won't accomodate 50 VoIP phones. You might want to consider a BCM200 which can accomodate up to 90 VoIP phones.

To integrate VoIP phones on your company network, you need to go online and google for a bandwidth calculator. These are free and can help you figure bandwidth requirements.

Rule of thumb, figure each VoIP device to use 38 KBPS with G.729 compression across the network and on your local network.

If you are using VoIP phones in your internal network, you will definitely need to set up QoS in your internal network using, weighted fair queuing and Diffserv (if you are using layer 3 core switches) to prioritize the voice traffic.
