Can anyone tell me if there are cordless phones available on the BCM50?

The T-7406 is the only digital cordless phone thats supported that I'm aware of. You could always run an analog cordless phone off one of the 4 analog station ports on the main cabinet.

Do you know if they use wireless access points throughout the facility for the signal? How do they work. The actual system would be in the basement.

Take a look at Spectralink they work with the larger switches.

Yeah, I know about them. But for the cost of spectralink I can almost put in a brand new pbx. this is for the principals residence. he currently has a Partner which is fine but the transtalk cordless phones suck.

7406 uses a single base station, just like a analog cordless. No way to roam between them.

The digital mobility stuff uses base stations and repeaters, but I don't know if that's supported in BCM 50 or not. My gut feeling is that it's not.

It should. It will work on CICS & MICS. All you need are digital ports.

The digital mobility is not supported in the current version. I think the digital mobility will be supported in BCM50v2.

How about the Engenius long range cordless phone?
