Does anyone have experience setting up a BCM50 thru a Cisco 2900 switch? I am trying to set this up on our bench so I can test the IP phones. I have all of the keycodes loaded, the digital and analog phones are working.

I am configuring the BCM using the Manager and the 2900 using the web GUI (instead of telnet). I have VLAN0002 set up for voice, the BCM is plugged into port 1 on the 2900, the phone is plugged into port 2. Both are set with QOS.
The IP for the BCM is 192.168.1.2...the 2900 is 192.168.1.4.
I have solid green lights on both ports 1&2...but the IP phone (i2004) will not connect to the server, keeps timing out.

Anything obvious I am missing? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chad

I'm not sure about the BCM 50, but in our BCM 200 I had to set the next hop route to get a remote IP phone to connect to the server. This is the gateway IP and should be 192.168.1.1 in your scheme.

Are the BCM and the IP sets are one the same VLAN ?
How the IP sets get its address ( fixed or DHCP /full/partial ? )
Did you config IP set with correct S1, port # matching the BCM?

Can you ping the IP sets from the BCM ?

Is IP Phone registration enabled? (with/ without password)
try automatic assignment

If the phone and bcm are in different vlans ...then the def GW should be a router 'connecting' the vlans
