bcm 50 voip trunking

I have 3 BCM 50s linked via VOIP GW Trunks with 4 digit extensions. Setup works by site to site dialing times out in 20 minutes, sometimes less. Customer could be in the middle of a call and it drops usually by 20 minutes. Customer uses Sonicwall to establish the VPN for site to site setup. We've investigated the VPN and have adjusted UDP timers but no joy. Could a codec adjustment be required? Could it be bandwidth problems?

SHould be using some sort of reporting package on the BCM to get more information?
 
I would check your alarm / events section to see what is shown. I have a Call Centric SIP trunk that always times out bang on 30 minutes. My Sipgate trunks do the same.

For this customer, the 'lines' are site to site tie lines via VOIP. Not to a SIP trunk provider. Location A calls Location B via 4 digit extension using VOIP GW trunk license. 20 minutes and the call disconnects.

Sonicwall has a tech tip to adjust it but between the IT department and us, no one can figure it out.

I suppose further testing is warranted and do a packet capture on the Sonicwall.
