I have a bcm 50 ver 2.0 with ip sets at a remote location. the customer only has macs at the main office and only 1 pc at the remote office. The owner wants to be able to admin the callpilot from the remote site via the browser. When he tries it to doesn't load the call pilot manager. Can get into the element manager fine but the browser for call pilot doesn't work. We have a site to site vpn setup between the 2 locations. I can get it to work from my laptop at the remote site but Im using xp pro with ie 6.0. The customers only pc is windows 7. Does anyone what could cause this and how to fix it for him?

Make sure you're patched up to date. It could be any one of a thousand settings in IE that's preventing the connection to Call Pilot. You could try Google Chrome or Firefox.

To access Call Pilot remotely you need to use port 443. You say you have a vpn connection between the two sites but you don't say if the user is trying to connect thru that vpn or some other means. Even if you are connected via vpn, you need to ensure that port is directed to the bcm and not somewhere else.

As you know, port 443 is used (by default) for ftp so it's quite likely its being redirected bhy one of the routers somewhere other than the bcm.

It is patched to the current release and we are trying to connect through the vpn. I can connect fine with my laptop through the vpn. I will try to downgrade java to 1.5.

thanks
