BCM 50 Upgraded to rls 3

Have customer who upgraded to rls 3 so they could use the 8x16 combo module. The problem is after the upgrade they still cannot get the 8x16 to work. In the resources pull down menu it still does not list the 8x16 as an option. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did the upgrade succeed? Has it been patched after the upgrade?
I can't recall if i patched the Bcm i upgraded form 1.0 to 2.0 at the time but i was able to select 8/16 combo on that 2.0.

After the upgrade to 3 no patches were done.
