does anybody know if it is possible to use 3 digit dn's over a VOIP gateway tunnel? and if so why am I getting a error message of "user input contains invalid value" when i try to add a destination code of "2

It is possible to use the 3 digit plan. You're probably getting the message because a local DN, huntgroup, or other device starts with a 2. If so they will have to be changed to something else. Don't forget to check application and unused DNs.

Nortel recommends using 4 digits. You can use 3 digits but your numbering cannot overlap.

Thanks, i have no choice but to use 3 digit plan it is replacing an existing system and the customer doesnt want to change thier ext.

If the DN's overlap, then it will not work and something must change.

To use 3 digit you need to have a unique code for each site. For example, for site A the user must dial 55- this is the "site number" for site A. For site B they dial 66 and the extension number.
