Hi! I am new to the bcm 50

I performed a level 1 reset according to the exact instructions and the procedure appeared to go fine but the system is now stuck in level 1 reset.(both yellow/red solid).
I have restarted the BCM but it goes from two solid yellows after connecting the power , back to a solid yellow/red and hangs forever!!??
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

It has been stuck for 3 hrs. and i unplugged the system all night (12hrs)and plugged back in this morning.
I did a reset to erase the programing i had done to better understand what a level 1 reset can do...lol!!
This box is not in use except for the purpose of my own training.

any ideas

Did you keep a copy of the keycodes?. It sounds as if you have corrupted the hard drive. You may have to obtain an image / replacement disk from another BCM 50 with the same software release.
Has you BCM got a MAC address underneath the unit?.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Yes i have the key codes and the MAC address.

Before i go with your suggestion, i was wondering if any other option....shorting the battery ...removing the hard drive etc...might work??

It's strange a reset (1)can corrupt the drive?
What was nortel thinking...lol!

If it is 5.0 software and up and you tried the paperclip method you are going to be SOL

What's SOL??
Actually it's a version 1.0 rls-1.(something).

like Firebird Scrambler said ...I will need to find a second bcm 50 with the same version and transfer an image..

How do i do that?
