On the BCM 50, the smdr is FTPed to a PC - this we get working perfectly.

What happens if the PC that the file is FTPed to is down? ie the PC is turned off overnight and turned on at 8am - the FTP is set to 1am.

1) Is the next FTP session as per the setting in the BCM ie daily at 1am
2) Can we set the retries to every hour (or similar) after the daily session is missed
3) I know the calls bank up if the FTP cannot authenticate and a clip will send them all BUT if the PC is never on at 1am - will it never see a FTP file?

Thanks in advance

Paul

If the transfer fails, the files will queue up until it's available again, or at least until the maximum storage amount is reached, which (on a BCM 200/400) is 400MB.

I don't believe there are configurable retry intervals (such as every hour). Best method is to transfer them to a server that's on 24/7, or adjust your schedule to accomodate times that the PC is online.
