How do you dial in and use the modem on the BCM. I have it programmed to answer a line which it does but after that what do you do?

Bring up IE Browser and enter the IP address of the BCM and you should get the UM page.

Sorry about the last post, I didn't see it was a BCM 50 until I sent the reply. I have nerer accessed a BCM 50 by modem and I don't think it's the same as the 200, 400 and 1000.

No problem, I see in the docs how to set it up but it doesn't really tell me how to setup my PC or what to do after I connect.

I can get the modem to answer then it hangs up in about 3 seconds.

Have you applied the DSP patch for the BCM 50? It addresses issue with the internal modem as well as analog trunks in the main cabinet.

EM = Element Manager

BCM 50 is very different ... but mucho better!!!

TRY PUTTING THE BCM 50 ON THE NETWORK with A PUBLIC ADDRESS MAPPED TO THE PRIVATE ADDRESS AND OPEN PORT 5989 ON YOUR FIREWALL THEN EM SHOULD WOOK. Dial-up I have never gotten it to work
