I have a customer that has the Avaya Softphone 2050 installed on his computer, his harddrive crashed, but his IT was able to recovery most of what was on the old harddrive and reinstall on the new harddrive. They got the Avaya Softphone installed, but now everytime you open it, it is asking for a password.

The registration password?
It's a one time thing you type in to register the client to the server when you first configure it.
That's set on the BCM. Prevents just anyone from plugging a phone into the system.

Configuration->Resources->Telephony Resources->IP Sets
Global password:

May have to Deregister the previous softphone to free up another slot too.
