I'm trying to connect to a BCM 50 Rel 1.00.2. I start downloading the Cartridge and am almost done when the switch freaks out. I have to force close EM for the switch to start rebooting. I tried the latest EM and the one off the BCM. I am going through the customers network. Any Ideas on how to connect to the BCM?

The exact release is 1.00.2.04.j

try connecting directly via oam port

ddcommllc.com
Avaya/Toshiba/SyntelSolutions

ACIS

As the BCM is trying to download a cartridge onto your computer, can you let me know via the link below what the file name is please?. It might just be easier to send you the cartridge and you can pleace it in the e.g.

C:\Users\xxxxxx\.bcm\BEM\bin\registry\cartridges folder. All you would need to do is to close down EM and then restart it again.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

I tried again to remotely just didn't canceled out of the cartridge download. It's looking for the 2.73.0 cartridge file. I downloaded this one and all the release one files from Avaya. They are in C:\Program Files\Nortel\Business Element Manager\BusinessElementManager\bin\registry\cartridges. I have another BCM 50 on the same network with the same rel and same cartridge, that I can get into no problem. I am running EM 62.0.5 6.0.

I will be heading to site today or tomorrow to see if I can connect through Lan port 2.

Tried through the OAM with same results. The system has been unplugged and rebooted once (glad it came back up). I can access a feature 9*8 to pull some info off of it. Any more ideas short of rebuilding the switch form scratch? And is there a way to backup/restore (usb or other) from the set programming?

Did you ever get a copy of the BCM50.2.73-0.zip cartridge file?. My file size is 5899kb. I can email it to you if you still need it. Just follow my link below.

I downloaded it from Avaya. My customer has 2 other BCM 50s that Require the same cartridge. I have no problem connecting to them and they are running clean. The problem site has been unplugged once since trying to get in, hasn't fixed the issue.
