BCM 50 R6 SIP and VoiP trunks

Hi All,

I have a question concerning voip and sip trunks on the same system.

I have 2 sites A and B

Site A 6 voip trunks
Site B 6 voip trunks
Just added 4 sip trunks in site A with connection to ISP tested incoming calls OK
I would like to use the 4 sip trunks for outgoing calls (long distance) gave access code 6

Here is what is happening:dial 6 take route blocA plubic get a fast busy tone after the 10th digit is dialed.
the ISP does not even see the request.
If i dial and extension for site B taake private blocA connect OK.

I have notice that Voip trunks and SIP trunks use the same bloc to dial out.

Is there a way to separate the two or I'm i just missing something?

If your ISP doesn't even see the setup request, there is something misconfigured.
That is, sssuming you can receive calls on the same SIP trunk.

The bloc used to dial out can be the same as long as the trunk type is VoIP.
You're basically telling the system to send the digits to the VoIP gateway.
By defining one route as public and one as private, you are providing further instructions about the call to the gateway.

Check your configuration.
Look under Resources>IP Trunks>SIP Trunking.
Choose the Public tab and Routing Table.
The digits you send to blocA using the Public route should resolve to the Account created for your ISP.

This just confirmed what I was suspecting from the begining that it's a gateway problem that is blocking the outgoing request to the ISP
